APTOS VILLAGE IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 2B

Project Update 6/26/2020

 

APTOS VILLAGE BUSINESSES:

All Aptos village businesses are open during construction operations.  Some may have modified operations and/or hours in accordance with current health orders.

SCHEDULE UPDATE:

·         POTHOLING:  Potholing to determine exact locations of underground utilities is expected to continue through Tuesday, June 30.

·         STORM DRAIN:  Storm drain installation is expected to begin after potholing is completed and any utility conflicts have been addressed.  Construction could begin as soon as July 1 and will take about three weeks to complete.

·         CURB, GUTTER & SIDEWALK, North Side of Soquel:  Curb, gutter & sidewalk work will begin after storm drain installation is complete and could begin as soon as July 22.  Construction will take about three weeks to complete. 

·         RAILROAD CROSSING:  The railroad crossing schedule is still being worked out.  Construction may begin in July.

The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other conditions.

TRAFFIC CONTROL:

Traffic control consisting of one lane, two-way traffic with flaggers will continue during construction operations.  Delay times could be up to fifteen minutes.  For the safety of all, please use caution when moving through the construction zone, obey all signage, and please share the road.

GENERAL:

The public’s patience is appreciated during the construction process and we look forward to project completion in November 2020.  The completion date is subject to change due to weather or other conditions.
